Round 1: Invent a dish! Create a fantastic healthy guinea pig meal. Get as creative and imaginative as you like! Show us a fantastic meal that you know your guinea pigs would love. The top 10 entries will go through to round two.

Round 2: The Taste Test! Round 2 will take place at the ACS ‘Pignic in the park’. In round 2 the final 10 contestants will put their healthy foods knowledge to the test! Contestants will line up in a row behind a table and one by one a healthy food appropriate for a guinea pig to eat will be placed on another table in front of the contestants. Contestants must correctly answer the name of the food in front of them to win points. Contestants will put their hand in the air if they feel they know the name of the food and the first hand raised will be chosen to name the food type on the plate. If incorrect the contestant will lose a point and another contestant will have a chance to correctly name the food. The top 3 contestants with the most points at the end of this round will continue on to the final round the ‘Cavy Cookout’.

Round 3: The Cavy Cookout! The top 3 contestants remaining at this stage will battle it out and put their Cavy Chef skills to the test. Contestants will each have 25 minutes to make a fantastic raw healthy guinea pig dish using a large range of ingredients supplied by ACS on the day. The dishes will then be presented for judging once the time is up. In this round the dishes will also be taste tested by a guinea pig and will be partially judged on whether the guinea pig likes the dish or not. Dishes will also be judged on all other criteria from Round 1 of the competition.

Winner of the Cavy Chef Challenge 2009 will be announced and will be given their prizes.
