This section of the ACS website was created to share special stories and journeys that some of us carry with our guinea pigs. To inspire, to comfort please take a moment to treasure all that can be found in this section of the website. Sometimes our animal friends can be our only refuge and comfort in times of trouble or sadness and for some people animals are that little bit of sunshine that is just enough to wake us up in the morning to motivate us to see the day through. If you carry a special bond with your guinea pig you'll already appreciate and know just what these beautiful little souls can bring to our lives. As the ACS founder I am here to share my personal journey as well because guinea pigs have not only been my lifelong passion and best friends but they have been my refuge a great many times over the years, I am a long-term sufferer of depression, anorexia/bulimia and borderline personality disorder I've been through a great deal of emotional trauma in my life and my piggies have saved my own life many many times and every single day they give me something precious to live for. By speaking to volunteers and friends over the years and meeting people through ACS I have found that many others also find refuge and carry a special bond with their piggies whether through long term life struggles and journeys or small day to day ups and downs. I feel that this section of our ACS website is a large part of why ACS grows and expands at the rate that it does. We are an organization that is run by a group of individuals that are truly passionate about the welfare of guinea pigs but our commitment to these little guys is much deeper than surface level.
