FOSTER a Guinea Pig

ACS require the help of foster carers on a regular basis and particularly during times when our shelters reach their maximum capacity. Their are many reasons we may need to call on the support of a foster carer most which are outlined in our foster care application form. If you wish to offer your time to foster care for a piggy in need of a temporary home please fill out our foster care Application Form below and email to us at australiancavysanctuary@hotmail.com. If your application is accepted from here you are then able to foster care for any guinea pigs that are available.

We always have guinea pigs at the shelter which are in need of some special one on one attention and handling. These guinea pigs usually have had minimal to no handling in their previous home and sadly their chances of being adopted is not good. These guinea pigs need love, attention and they need to feel secure and safe. If you feel you could foster care for ACS please contact us. It is amazing how much a couple of weeks of handling and attention can improve a guinea pigs trust and temperament which in turn improves their chances of being adopted. The process of foster care is rewarding for both the guinea pigs and those who care for them and in turn offers great support to ACS.
