Welcome to our case stories where you will be able to see and read the before and after stories and photos of just some of the guinea pigs that ACS has received and treated. Some stories are severe cases of neglect or injury while others are simply inspirational stories we wish to share.

The Australian Cavy Sanctuary receive homeless guinea pigs through many different avenues including the RSPCA, pet shop investigations, private surrenders, advertisements for giveaway guinea pigs and through angels from the public who find and bring them to the shelters. It is sad to think that their are some people that value small animals so very little that they can let them live in appalling conditions or worse....they end up dead before their calls have been heard. We receive many guinea pigs that require medical attention or that are pregnant and we receive guinea pigs that are severely malnourished and that are neglected and left to suffer a life of misery in terrible living conditions. Every life deserves to be valued because every life is born with a precious soul and spirit beneath the external form that each is born in.

Guinea pigs are an animal that rely completely on their human owner for every single aspect of their care. They are an animal that can't run away if unhappy and they can't go to find food elsewhere if hungry. They can't escape from the enclosure they are placed in and they can't scream for help. These are their stories!
