NOTE - If you're looking for a quick buy you've come to the wrong place we are a sanctuary not a pet shop or breeder and we run under different values and policies. We have an adoption process in place and every guinea pig that enters our shelters is technically ' homeless ' hence why we use the term ' adopt ' not ' buy ' as we do not breed nor do we sell guinea pigs for profit. Homeless guinea pigs deserve a loving permanent home where they will be valued and nurtured as part of the whole family. If you feel you can give an ACS guinea pig a special place in your family we look forward to discussing adoption with you.

Before enquiring about adopting we ask that our Adoption terms and Duty of care be read and agreed to. We have adoption requirements that need to be met and agreed to before visits to the shelters to adopt can be arranged. We also ask standard questions with all potential adoptions.

We are happy to discuss any part of our adoption terms on request and are happy to help and advise where we can with the planning for your new family member/s.

All guinea pigs come with a signed adoption certificate and have been mite treated/wormed/health checked. Care leaflets are available to take home along with any hay/feed and accessories you may wish to purchase from an ACS Shelter.

ACS accept any ill, injured, pregnant or found guinea pigs that people from the public may wish to surrender. We would rather see a guinea pig be surrendered in to one of the shelters than handed in to a pet shop or sold/given away without a good screening process in place to assure the guinea pig/s will find an appropriate new home. ACS have a very good screening/adoption process in place and by surrendering a guinea pig to ACS you can be assured the guinea pig/s will find a permanent, loving and caring new home.  If you wish to make an appointment to surrender a guinea pig please feel free to contact any of the shelters. ACS don't charge a surrender fee although a small donation to any of the shelters is always appreciated.
